Celebrating its 11th year making music accessible to everyone!

The Cook Foundation presents the Symphony under the Stars FREE Family Concert on Saturday, May 27th at 8:00PM “on the lawn” of Main Street & Walter Reed Way. The concert will be given by the Virginia Symphony orchestra. This is the 11th year that the Cook Foundation has been making music accessible to everyone. Touted as one of the most anticipated events of the year in the community, it is expected to draw over 2,000 people to the Gloucester Village for an evening of great food and music.

The public is encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Dine on Main Street before the concert and receive 10% off at participating restaurants. A detailed list of restaurants will be provided as the event draws closer. Picnics are welcome too and many of the food establishments on Main Street are happy to build you a basket to take to the concert. Boy Scout Troop 111 will be on site selling food.

Road closures will be in effect on Main Street between Belroi Rd. (at Church of the St. Therese) and Newington Baptist Church between the hours of 6:30PM and 10:00PM to facilitate the concert. General parking will be available along Main Street, in the back lots of Newington Baptist Church and in Gloucester County Government parking lots. Special needs parking will be available at Newington Baptist Church & St. Therese by permit only.
